Primitive Spark P* Shield

PORTFOLIO : mEgo

Challenge

mEgo came to our team with a compelling product concept: an interactive avatar that allows you to manage your identity across multiple social media websites. However, it soon became clear that some major decisions regarding product features and target audience had yet to be resolved. And, once the final concept was prototyped and tested, it had to be built rapidly and affordably, yet still be able to handle rapid growth without risk of service failure.

Process

  • Conducted an online survey to define the target audience.
  • Conducted focus groups to better define site content and features.
  • Built and tested clickable prototypes.
  • Developed technical architecture that incorporated multiple data mash-ups and seamless integration into all major social networks.
  • Built site and then managed it from inception through 1 millionth visitor.

Result

mEgo was selected to debut at TechCrunch and has managed subsequent growth with minimal impact on the site's technical design.
